Mainstream Boutique opened its doors Sept. 14, but is gearing up for a grand opening celebration Thursday as a result of Saturday. 

The boutique, which is owned by the mom-daughter duo of Penny and Amanda McKeller, is a single of 80 independently owned merchants nationwide. Amanda’s more youthful sister, Kayla, is a supervisor and stylist at the boutique, as properly. 

The retailer in New Lenox, located at 2340 E Lincoln Highway, was supposed to open in June, but was delayed since of COVID-19.

“It’s been very fast paced each single working day,” Amanda claimed. “New Lenox has been excellent and the group has been superb.”

She understands that it is an intriguing time to open up a new retail store, but is happy that gals are procuring at their boutique if they come to a decision to go out.

Amanda was wanting to open up a restaurant company at first, as she went to university for hospitality, but her dad and mom talked her out of it. 

“I was dwelling in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and there was a Mainstream in the vicinity of me and I made use of to store there all the time,” Amanda claimed. “(My mother) experienced never observed one particular and then we were being down in Florida and frequented two of the Mainstreams down there so she could acquire a peak.”

“This is a celebration to say we have been open,” Amanda stated. “We’ll do the ribbon slicing at 5 p.m. on Thursday with the chamber of commerce. We’ll have little treats, some beverages and giveaways. We have partnered with 5 enterprises in town and we’re carrying out one, also.
